What happened?

As I was looking for a cute picture for the last post, I came across these two taken this summer. I have to ask WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BABY? Seriously, he looks like he is about to go off to college (okay, I may be exaggerating a little). He is awfully cute though--for a practically grown man that is.
